About the event
Clients, with the best of intentions, sometimes walk into challenging conversations without adequate preparation. As a result, they may come away from these conversations with regrets about things they said or didn't say. Through the magice of pychodrama, we can create vivid simulations of challenging conversations in action, so that clients can get clearer about their message, deepen their empathy for the other person, and try out new behaviors in a "sandbox" of psychological safety.
In this program you will:
Learn how psychodrama can be used for "role training."
See an in depth demonstration of a challenging conversation in action.
Practice facilitating simulations of difficult conversations in action
Discuss how you can use this technique in your role as a therapist, coach, or the like.
This program is one of a series of psychodrama programs that are designed to teach core psychodramatic skills from the ground up. They are focused on skills that can be used in 1:1 situations faced by therapists, coaches, and other professionals. The programs can be taken individually or as a series.
Each program includes:
An introduction to the essentials of psychodrama
Experiential practice with:
Warm-up and group building
Action structures -- including some exposure to role playing
A structured sharing process for grounding and integration.
A demonstration of and practice with a specific psychodramatic skill
